~FOALS OF 2008~
We are expecting two foals in 2008 starting in April. Keep checking back often to see who goes first and what they have..... Mares bred and expecting are Skipa Flash Revenue in Black
SKIPA FLASH foaled April 21st, 2008. Sometime between the hours of 9am when I checked on her and she didn't look to be in labor! and 1pm when Nick, our son, found her with the colt who was already DRY! Talk about a sneaky mare! Ha! He is a tall colt, gorgeous head with a real pretty blaze down it. Long neck and muscled too. Super nice colt. Color is minimal, he has one left hind sock....and a FEW small white flecks on his hip. More on the right hip than the left. Since Momma is a roan I imagine he will roan a bigger blanket as he gets older. He'll make a nice show prospect as he doesn't have a whole lot of white to distract the eye of the judge (also easier to keep clean!!) He is for sale at this time...however if we get a couple of the older horses sold....that could change! He's friendly and I'll try and get some photos posted as soon as he fills out a bit more. Here's a couple of him napping. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.

REVENUE IN BLACK foaled on May 2nd at 1am, 366 days past her last breeding date. Nick and his girlfriend found the filly when they stopped to do the evening feeding after they got off from work. She is a different color pattern than what she has always thrown before...this one has NO color, well she has a big blaze, 2 hind stockings and 2 front socks.....but no white on her butt! However she does appear to have the white eye and mottled skin. And she is a gorgeous bright red chestnut! Pretty filly too. Will get pictures when things dry out around here cause she was born during a nice major storm that blew thru. We were under a tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warnings...nothing like being in the barn thru all the hoopla. Our barn roof needs a few repairs as it was flapping pretty good on the old part. (Have an old barn, built in 77) Roof stayed attached though but we'll have to figure out how to either tie it down to the rafters or replace it. She will be offered for sale also. Pictures are when she was 2 days old
